If you want to have a broad model range, you also have to fill some niches. BMW, at any rate, is venturing into the manageable excavator segment with the K 1600 B - usually large tourers with flat lines. The K 1600 GT/GTL fits perfectly as a basis, because its equally powerful and cultivated six-cylinder in-line engine is just as much fun on long journeys as it is for spirited country road heating.
