O amortecedor STX 46 é bastante rígido na sua configuração básica, mas também consegue aguentar a vida quotidiana sem ser desconfortável. Graças às generosas opções de ajuste, ainda há espaço para preferências e utilizações individuais. A função do cartucho NIX 30 também é impressionante. O comportamento de resposta - especialmente sob carga - melhorou significativamente. Agora também há muito mais reserva disponível durante a travagem. Onde antes a forquilha entrava em bloqueio e o ABS era acionado quando se travava a fundo com a configuração original, agora os travões simplesmente continuam a funcionar eficazmente.
