Tal como a pesada naked S 1000 R, a XR não pode negar o seu parentesco com a superbike S 1000 R. A isto junta-se uma posição de condução impecavelmente confortável e um guiador largo que faz com que seja um prazer passar por curvas apertadas. A eletrónica inspira confiança sem restrições e os travões podem ser aplicados como se estivessem numa super moto desportiva. Apenas o ruído estridente do escape de quatro cilindros e as vibrações na gama média não se adequam a uma tourer. Caso contrário, a S 1000 XR é completamente convincente.

Não vale a pena tentar perceber porque é que a R nineT é tão popular, o conceito é obviamente uma excelente adaptação aos dias de hoje.
