Dans les lignes droites intermédiaires, la puissance de 160 ch permet à la 1290 Super Adventure de répondre à des exigences sportives et d'être ainsi très universelle.

Le surnom de "Beast" n'est pas totalement usurpé, la KTM est et reste une naked bike brutale - 177 ch issus de deux pots d'une cylindrée totale de 1301 cm3 n'ont rien d'anodin. Pourtant, elle est étonnamment facile à maîtriser, grâce à sa position de conduite droite combinée à une bonne maniabilité, elle semble presque docile.
