Il est inutile d'essayer de comprendre pourquoi la R nineT est si populaire, le concept est manifestement parfaitement adapté à notre époque. Reste à savoir si ce style rétro moderne fonctionnera également avec la BMW R nineT Scrambler, une catégorie de prix plus basse. Mais la condition préalable est très bonne, le Scrambler fait confiance au même "vieux" moteur boxer à refroidissement par air, que BMW a miraculeusement rendu compatible avec l'Euro4 sans perte de performance ni de caractère. Le châssis est plus souple, l'empattement plus long et les caractéristiques plus spartiates - mais sous le nom de code Scrambler, cela est tout à fait acceptable, après tout, la conduite confortable est au premier plan. La selle unipersonnelle en option est certes un peu dure, mais la R nineT Scrambler n'est en aucun cas inconfortable, c'est surtout la position d'assise qui convainc pleinement.
