Honda CB650R and CBR650R 2026 – New Colors Unveiled

Honda gives its mid-range inline-fours, the CB650R and CBR650R, a subtle update for the 2026 model year. While the technical specs remain unchanged, the duo gets a visual refresh with new colors intended to enhance the profiles of these popular models.

Since its debut in 2019, the Honda CB650R has been considered one of Europe's most popular naked bikes. With over 46,000 units sold, Honda's sales figures clearly indicate the strong market position of this mid-range model with its Neo-Sports Café design.

For the new 2026 model year, the CB650R comes with four new color options:

• Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic
• Mat Jeans Blue Metallic
• Candy Energy Orange
• Grand Prix Red

According to the manufacturer, the new color choices are intended to accentuate the bike's sporty naked silhouette. However, the technical foundation remains unchanged. The proven combination of a smooth-running inline-four engine, agile handling, and modern features remains a hallmark.

Even more successful is the fully faired sibling, the CBR650R. Since 2021, it has led the mid-range supersport segment in Europe, according to Honda. So far in 2025, it holds a robust 12% market share, with over 4,500 units sold within this period alone.

For 2026, the following colors are available:

• Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic (with Bright Yellow accents)
• Grand Prix Red Tricolour

The CBR650R's technology also remains untouched. A standout feature continues to be the Honda E-Clutch technology, available as an option. This system allows automated clutch operations for starting, upshifting, and stopping, without the rider needing to engage the clutch.

The CB650R and CBR650R are among the most solid pillars in Honda's lineup. In a class that is increasingly diversifying, both models continue to rely on the classic inline-four layout and proven technology.
