Att Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory är ny märks på slagvolymen - ökningen till 1077 kubikmeter innebär att hela 217 hk och 122 Newtonmeter vridmoment nu finns att tillgå. Detta gör RSV4 till en av de starkaste på racerbanan, men också till en överlägsen landsvägsfighter. I alla andra avseenden, som chassi, fjädring och geometri, förkroppsligar Factory-versionen med Öhlins fjädringselement racingidén på ett riktigt seriöst sätt. Till och med de coola vingarna på sidan är inget skämt, utan härstammar direkt från RS-GP MotoGP-motorcykeln. Resten av designen är gammal, men absolut inte tråkig.
