Credible styling in the style of the 500 GP machines from around 1990 meets state-of-the-art components from the CP3 modular system. For the suspension components, Yamaha used high-quality, fully adjustable parts from KYB. The fork is the same as that used in the MT-09 SP. The sporty basic set-up is perfectly suited to this pretty retro racer. The standard electronic features are also impressive. All riding aids are lean angle-dependent, the quickshifter works first-class and there is even cruise control on board. If you can cope with the sporty riding position, you can enjoy a dream bike. Apart from the brakes, which could have a little more bite, we have no real criticism to make.

Precis som sin föregångare är Aprilia Tuono V4 en nakencykel och inte en utpräglad touringmaskin. Teknikerna från Noale har dock på ett mycket smart sätt höjt styret jämfört med fabriksversionen, monterat en bekvämare sadel och monterat en större vindruta. Detta innebär att Tuono V4 fortfarande ser riktigt smart ut, men faktiskt kan ge sig ut på större turer än sin extremt sportiga syster. Fjädringen på den vanliga Tuono V4 har ingen elektronisk justerbarhet (vilket skulle vara helt logiskt på en touringmaskin), men Sachs-fjädringselementen är fullt justerbara. Hanteringen är å andra sidan underbart sportig tack vare det stabila chassit, och bromsarna kan appliceras ordentligt utan att verka för aggressiva. Det saknas inte elektroniska hjälpmedel, medan den vanliga farthållaren betonar touringkaraktären, gör wheelie- och launch control det tydligt att "Tourono V4" också vill släppa loss!
