Nya CBR500R placerar sig direkt under den populära supersportcykeln CBR600RR i modellsegmentet för Honda CBR-familjen, åtminstone när det gäller slagvolym, och har därför höga förväntningar att uppfylla. Den löser dock denna uppgift med bravur och bär modellbeteckningen värdigt in i instegssegmentet. Särskilt med sitt fängslande utseende, som definieras av användningen av LED-teknik, finns det ingen anledning att gömma sig med den här motorcykeln. Den förbättrade motorn är nu ännu roligare att köra, eftersom ljudet också har förbättrats avsevärt tack vare den nya bakre ljuddämparen. När du tävlar bör du välja rätt spår på grund av den begränsade toppfarten, men den är fortfarande mycket stabil i alla situationer.

The new SV650 continues the visual minimalism of the first two SV650 generations, but builds technically on its direct predecessor, the SFV650 Gladius - two excellent moves that turn the very modern SV650 into a classic. The design fits wonderfully into the era of many retro conversions, but inside there are also modern gimmicks that make it easier for beginners in particular to get started. The engine, on the other hand, can also convince advanced riders; the typical V2 feeling is wonderful. You shouldn't expect extreme sportiness in the chassis and brakes, but the price of just under 6400 euros (in Germany) is a statement that the competition will have to swallow.
