With its successful revisions and cheeky look, the new Hornet is very appealing without being too aggressive. Only the display looks a little out of place in the otherwise harmonious design and the rear silencer will be recognised from a distance even by the short-sighted among us, Euro5+ sends its regards. But thanks to the Honda accessories catalogue, these visual conspicuousnesses can also be remedied with an additional windscreen that better integrates the display and a slim SC-Project silencer. And at the fighting price of €11,990 or €13,990 for the SP, the new Hornisse will be a serious contender in the battle for buyers' favour, as it has hardly any rivals in terms of price/performance ratio.

Som tidigare är toppmodellen RS verkligen den mest åtråvärda av Street Triples. Förutom de vanliga lekfulla köregenskaperna, de superdirekta Brembo-bromsarna och den trecylindriga motorns livliga karaktär, finns det nu ett mer böljande mellanregister, uppgraderad elektronik samt en Brembo M50-broms och det återigen skärpta utseendet. Tack vare de mycket sportiga Pirelli Supercorsa SP V3-däcken är trackdays verkligen en seriös fråga, och den nu standardiserade växlingsassistenten med blipperfunktion ökar kraftigt incitamentet att byta till den nya modellen. En underbart rolig maskin för både landsväg och bana!
