You can tell that the new BMW S 1000 RR has been fine-tuned again. Ergonomics, electronics tuning, engine handling, suspension tuning (DDC) - BMW engineers have probably thought primarily of the normal customer and not of racers in disguise. Because the S 1000 RR impresses with its high level of universality and perhaps sacrifices the last tenth of uncompromisingness for this - and that was a good decision. This makes the 210 Horsepower superbike rideable and controllable for a wide range of customers, both on the track and on weekend rides on the country road. Even though you have a 214 hp rocket under your bum, the new V4 Streetfighter is very easy to ride, even for inexperienced riders, thanks to its pleasant power delivery, very stable riding performance and pleasant ergonomics. The enormous stability is particularly impressive for an undisguised bike and clearly sets the new Ducati above the competition. Apart from the high price, the biggest shortcoming of the new V4 is probably the self-control required to avoid being handcuffed in traffic.
