Man kan alltid argumentera för utseendet och avsaknaden av en trellisram, men den nuvarande Monster är allt annat än ful. I grund och botten skulle det vara en bra vardaglig nakencykel med trevlig ergonomi och ett bromssystem som inte överraskar ens de oerfarna. Det ganska mjuka chassit kan också betraktas som en acceptabel kompromiss, men för en Ducati är det ganska förvånande att åtminstone framgaffeln inte var avstämd lite stramare. Tyvärr biter den karismatiska motorn kraftigt vid låga varvtal och visar därför bara sin underbara V2-karaktär på landsvägen. Allt som allt återspeglar detta dock den övergripande bilden av Monster mycket bra: en typisk Ducati som också är bra för vardagskörning när det gäller chassi och bromsar.

And this model in particular should appeal not only to true Guzzi fans, but also to all those who are looking for a balanced, uncomplicated bike. Although the engine has its typical vibrations, it behaves in a good-natured manner, the suspension is more comfortable than sporty and the riding position also fits the cosy character perfectly. The single disc brake at the front even grips surprisingly well and the overall look is direct to the heart. Only the LCD dashboard looks out of place and modern.
