Att döma Kawasaki Ninja 650 enbart utifrån dess pappersform skulle vara ett allvarligt misstag. Det två dagar långa testet visade än en gång att prestandadata väger tyngre vid pubbordet än i naturen. Kawas sporttourer gör exakt vad den ska och tack vare den ständiga översynen och de nya funktionerna som läggs till 2023 är den fortfarande en berikning för klassen. Endast hobbyförare bör varnas, eftersom namnet Ninja fortfarande väcker en viss förväntan som 650 inte helt uppfyller.

Accordingly, the 1000cc four-cylinder power unit is brute and yet easily controllable, and the seating position is correspondingly sporty and comfortable. The fact that the S 1000 R is one of the most affordable power naked bikes is surprising and very pleasing, although one must not get hold of the list of optional extras - because thanks to the many irresistible features, it will certainly be more expensive.
