At Ducati, there is no series in which there is not a top model that takes precedence over at least one base model. That's good, because the Italians can afford to charge outrageously more. Outrageously more, of course, only for those who cannot afford the Ducati Hypermotard 950 SP - the normal version can do almost everything just as well. But the fine difference is made by such fine ingredients as shining gold oil equipment front and rear, forged Marchesini rims, fine carbon parts and the successful paintwork in the Ducati Corse look.
Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono RVE 2024
The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono presents itself as an accessible, playful supermoto with a powerful single-cylinder engine and comprehensive electronics. It’s particularly easy to get it to drift during trail braking, and it feels great whilst doing so. For hard track use, however, the standard gear ratio is a little too long, the front suspension setup could be a bit firmer, and the standard Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4 offers less grip than a specialised supermoto tyre. All in all, it remains a brilliant fun bike that appeals to amateur riders with its controllable nature, yet it still offers enough reserves for really fast laps.
