1290 Super Adventure R är tänkt att bli det nya offroad-flaggskeppet i KTM Adventure-serien - och det är den! Det är fantastiskt hur lätt det är att flytta 240 kilo i terrängen med full tank. Offroad-läget är också i stort sett övertygande. Å andra sidan, precis som på 1290 Super Adventure S, finns hela 160 hk och 140 Newtonmeter vridmoment samt alla komfortfunktioner (förutom den elektroniskt justerbara fjädringen) tillgängliga på R-versionen: Fyra prestandalägen (Sport, Street, Rain och Offroad), kurv-ABS, traction control, farthållare, nyckellöst race-on-system och mobiltelefonhanteringen "My Ride". Detta innebär att KTM 1290 Super Adventure R faktiskt kombinerar fyra motorcyklar i en - och därmed rättfärdigar det stolta priset.

It is impressive how well the bike manages the balancing act between on-road and off-road, doing exactly what an adventure bike should be able to do or what you want to do with an adventure bike. And this with a level of maturity that is downright astonishing for a new model and shows that Triumph has done its homework and has further developed the already underestimated Tiger 800 in a sensible way. Even if some die-hard Tiger fans may miss the now less pronounced, typical whistling of the three-cylinder engine. I can only answer the question of whether the Tiger 900 Rally Pro is ready for the journey with a "when are we going to start again?"!
