Den fullt justerbara Öhlins-fjädringen (inklusive gaffeln i svenskt guld!) uppfyller sitt syfte perfekt, Brembo Stylema-bromssystemet griper hårt men inte obehagligt och sittpositionen, med sin något mer framåtlutade position, är sportig men ändå bekväm. Även motorn passar mycket bra in i konceptet med den mycket sportiga nakencykeln i mellanklassen - den vill bli varvad och levererar mest kraft i toppändan. Om du letar efter en brist hos Monster SP är det troligtvis V2-motorns ryckighet vid låga varvtal, men sanna fans av 90° V2-motorn kommer inte att bli förolämpade av detta alls. Priset är inte heller något problem, eftersom italienarna betalar ett ganska högt pris för prestandan i SP-versionen.
