L'Aprilia se distingue de la foule par sa sonorité V4 unique, qui ressemble plus à un bicylindre qu'à un quatre cylindres en ligne criard. On se sent tout de suite à l'aise sur la RSV4 RR et on peut d'emblée prendre de bonnes inclinaisons sans avoir à tâtonner. La maniabilité est très agréable, même si on est perché assez haut. Elle est un peu trop compacte pour les grands pilotes. Par rapport à son prédécesseur, elle est plus facile à conduire, mais en même temps nettement plus puissante et plus rapide. Elle marque des points, surtout en entrée de virage, avec un excellent feedback de la roue avant.

La nouvelle RSV4 fera le bonheur des pilotes qui ont toujours conduit des supersports et qui aiment cette catégorie. Les pilotes de 600cc l'apprécieront et même les anciens pilotes de 250cc trouveront sa maniabilité encore envoûtante. Elle est née dans le département course d'Aprilia et y a été peaufinée pour l'année 2015. Elle est donc désormais plus facile à piloter qu'auparavant.
