La nouvelle R 1250 RT profite pleinement de son moteur plus puissant et de ses 11 chevaux supplémentaires, car 279 kilos en ordre de marche se réjouissent de chaque CV supplémentaire. En combinaison avec l'assistant de changement de vitesse Pro, les rapports coulent à flot et on se déplace involontairement de manière plus sportive que ce que l'on avait peut-être prévu. Les grands points positifs de la R 1250 RT sont toujours la bonne finition, le principe de commande simple et facile à comprendre et enfin son rayon de braquage relativement petit.

Un super moteur dans une jolie robe ne fait pas tout. L'équipement de série de la BMW R 1250 RS déçoit, il n'inclut ni Quickshifter ni régulateur de vitesse, en 2021, ce n'est plus d'actualité.
