L'Aprilia Caponord 1200 Rally se présente incontestablement comme le modèle haut de gamme de la gamme Capo : un set de valises noble, une barre de protection, une protection moteur, des phares supplémentaires à LED et un jeu de jantes à rayons extravagant flattent énormément l'œil. En termes de performances, la Rally, avec son contrôle de traction, son ABS et son Temopomat, n'est pas très éloignée de sa sœur Travel Pack "normale". Et le moteur, avec ses 125 ch, reste lui aussi un compagnon puissant, qui séduit surtout par sa sonorité de V2 rauque et ses bonnes reprises. Dans les virages très serrés, le centre de gravité bas a un effet positif - la BMW R 1200 GS est très difficile à casser ! Même la suspension avant Telelever, qui supprime le tangage de la roue avant lors du freinage, s'adapte parfaitement à l'ensemble de la GS et ne peut que légèrement atténuer son caractère sportif.
