Son style visuel de flat tracker la rend unique et désirable, mais ses pneus rares n'ont aucunement un effet négatif sur sa dynamique de conduite. Cela fait de la FTR 1200 une naked bike facile à conduire, qui fait également bonne figure sur les mauvaises routes. Le moteur est suffisamment puissant, les freins sont bons, la position de conduite est agréable et les performances globales (sur le sec) sont excellentes.
