L'origine asiatique du moteur ne se remarque pas. Le réservoir plus grand de la version Adventure et tous les accessoires font grimper le poids et le prix de manière significative. Avec ses 244 kg, la BMW F 850 GS Adventure est déjà un gros morceau, ce qui ne plaît pas à tout le monde. Mais l'ergonomie est au top et la position de conduite dans le large carénage donne un sentiment de sécurité et de protection.

La cruiser parmi les enduros de voyage rayonne de confort et de souveraineté. Son moteur V2 tonitruant se laisse bien conduire et pardonne. Le châssis et les freins fonctionnent également bien. Elle ne convient pas plus aux situations extrêmes en off-road qu'aux mains des traîneurs de genoux notoires.
