Mais celui qui souhaite une conduite aussi sportive que celle de la GSX-S1000 se heurtera déjà à la suspension un peu trop souple et non réglable. Toutefois, cette conception plus confortable de la 950 s'accorde très bien avec le caractère du moteur. En effet, avec (seulement) 95 ch, le moteur, identique à celui de la GSX-S1000, est conçu pour fournir du couple par le bas et au milieu, tirer obstinément n'a guère de sens. Celui qui cherche une naked bike relativement confortable, adaptée à la catégorie A2 et qui se distingue à peine du modèle haut de gamme peut donc économiser beaucoup d'argent !
