Le moteur boxer plein de caractère est un vrai plaisir à chaque coup d'accélérateur et, grâce à sa magnifique sonorité, il ne lasse pas à la longue. Malgré son poids relativement élevé, la BMW est agréable à conduire grâce à son châssis de haute qualité et trouve un juste milieu entre le cruiser et le naked bike sportif. L'esthétique est bien entendu une affaire de goût, mais les chiffres de vente laissent penser que BMW a dû faire quelque chose de bien. Et même si le look de série ne plaît pas, il existe des accessoires comme le sable à la mer.

La nouvelle Hornet 750 est une naked bike vraiment réussie, qui se place au-dessus de la plupart de ses concurrentes dans la catégorie des motos d'entrée de gamme supérieures grâce à son moteur merveilleusement agile et puissant, à sa maniabilité et à son châssis équilibrés, à sa position de conduite agréable et, surtout, à son équipement électronique très complet. En fait, elle est déjà très proche de la classe moyenne, seuls le bras oscillant ennuyeux et le pneu arrière étroit de 160 cm3 (qui aide toutefois énormément à la maniabilité) ne correspondent pas tout à fait à ce segment.
