La Yamaha XSR900 est une illusion d'optique classique - avec son phare rond, son réservoir anguleux et son feu arrière rapporté, elle passe clairement pour une moto rétro. Mais ce n'est pas un hasard si ses performances rappellent celles de la puissante moto tout terrain de classe moyenne Yamaha MT-09, car celle-ci constitue la base extrêmement sportive de la XSR900. Le moteur est donc une merveille et les freins sont très puissants. En ce qui concerne le châssis, les techniciens n'exagèrent heureusement pas, la XSR900 offre suffisamment de confort et la position d'assise droite est plus confortable que ne le laisserait supposer le moteur puissant. Dans la catégorie des motos rétro, la XSR900 est néanmoins l'un des modèles les plus sportifs.
Ducati Monster SP 2023

La version SP est certes la plus chère, mais aussi la meilleure Ducati Monster. Tout s'accorde parfaitement, parce que c'est typiquement sportif chez Ducati. La suspension Öhlins entièrement réglable (donc aussi la fourche en or suédois !) remplit parfaitement son rôle, le système de freinage Brembo Stylema est puissant mais pas désagréable et la position de conduite, bien que sportive, est toujours agréable grâce à son orientation un peu plus vers l'avant. Même le moteur s'intègre très bien dans le concept de ce naked bike de classe moyenne très sportif - il ne demande qu'à être tourné et fournit le plus de puissance en haut. Si l'on cherche un défaut au Monster SP, il s'agit surtout des à-coups du V2 à bas régime, mais les vrais fans du moteur V2 à 90° ne s'en plaignent pas. Le prix n'est pas non plus un obstacle, les Italiens font payer assez cher les performances de la version SP.
