Si l'on débourse d'abord environ 8.500 (Allemagne) ou près de 9.000 euros (Autriche) pour la RC390 R et qu'il reste ensuite environ 11.000 flocons pour le kit SSP 300, on obtient une marchandise de course digne du championnat du monde. "Ready to Race", le nom est tout un programme, vraiment. Dans ce cas, un "Ready to win the World Championship" serait presque plus approprié, car le kit de pièces est vraiment très complet et conforme au règlement de la FIM. KTM fait tout ce qui est en son pouvoir pour satisfaire tous ceux qui envisagent de se lancer sérieusement dans le monde de la course, en particulier les jeunes espoirs. KTM Customer Racing, je retire mon casque ! Bravo !

Si l'on veut goûter au plaisir du supermotard sans filtre sur la route, la KTM 690 SMC R est le seul choix possible. La LC4 a certes été fortement cultivée entre-temps, mais elle apporte toujours les vertus que l'on attend d'un monocylindre. Différentes aides à la conduite peuvent également être activées au choix, mais elles ne sont pas obligatoires ! Grâce à son faible poids, elle peut être lancée dans les virages comme un vélo et - si on le peut - être transférée sur la roue arrière de manière ludique. Seul l'affichage pourrait faire l'objet d'une cure de jouvence de la part de KTM, car il donne rapidement l'impression de se trouver encore dans les années 90. Mais les vrais fans de supermotard ne s'y arracheront pas les cheveux.
