Si l'on veut goûter au plaisir du supermotard sans filtre sur la route, la KTM 690 SMC R est le seul choix possible. La LC4 a certes été fortement cultivée entre-temps, mais elle apporte toujours les vertus que l'on attend d'un monocylindre. Différentes aides à la conduite peuvent également être activées au choix, mais elles ne sont pas obligatoires ! Grâce à son faible poids, elle peut être lancée dans les virages comme un vélo et - si on le peut - être transférée sur la roue arrière de manière ludique. Seul l'affichage pourrait faire l'objet d'une cure de jouvence de la part de KTM, car il donne rapidement l'impression de se trouver encore dans les années 90.
