La position d'assise sur la 650 GT est ergonomiquement réussie, elle peut donc aussi plaire sur de longs trajets et le moteur relativement faible monte au moins agilement en régime, ce qui fait que l'on ne manque pas vraiment de puissance. Seuls deux modes de conduite (qui ne se distinguent pas trop l'un de l'autre), un ABS traditionnel et un pare-brise réglable en hauteur en continu et sans outil doivent donc suffire comme "caractéristiques de confort" - et c'est en fait le cas. Seul le châssis peut être critiqué : dans les virages, il se cabre plus que le reste de la machine ne le mérite.
