Il faut juste se rappeler qu'il y a beaucoup de motos plus confortables dans cette catégorie - mais guère plus sportives. Plus facile à conduire, plus facile à contrôler avec 3 modes de conduite, ABS et contrôle de traction de série. Seule la protection contre le vent pourrait être meilleure et la selle pour les longs trajets ne se trouve que dans les accessoires.

Conduire vite, c'est possible, mais c'est fatigant. Le guidon haut est contre-productif sur la piste de course et demande beaucoup d'efforts physiques. Même avec le châssis WP, la MT-09 n'arrive pas à se hisser au niveau de la Street Triple R. Elle ne peut donc pas être utilisée comme une moto de course.
