On peut toujours discuter de l'esthétique et de l'absence de cadre tubulaire en treillis, mais la Monster actuelle est tout sauf laide. Même le châssis très souple peut être considéré comme un compromis acceptable, mais pour une Ducati, on s'étonne qu'au moins la fourche avant n'ait pas été configurée de manière un peu plus ferme. Malheureusement, le moteur charismatique se cabre fortement à bas régime et ne révèle son magnifique caractère de V2 que sur la route. Mais dans l'ensemble, cela reflète très bien l'image globale de la Monster : une Ducati typique qui, en termes de châssis et de freins, peut aussi être utilisée pour la conduite quotidienne.
