La Yamaha Tracer 9 GT est extrêmement agile et sportive avec son trois cylindres en ligne. Les 119 ch se comportent déjà de manière très puissante sur la Yamaha MT-09, dérivée de la naked bike, et à peine moins sur la Tracer 9 GT, adaptée au tourisme. Il est clair que les ingénieurs japonais ne sont pas des débutants en matière de tourisme, la Tracer 9 GT est confortable grâce à son châssis réglable électroniquement et à sa position de conduite très confortable, avec une bonne protection contre les intempéries. Dans l'ensemble, c'est tout de même une sportive de voyage. Le look est original, seul le mini-écran divisé est une question de goût.
