La Tiger 800 XRt n'est pas seulement le modèle haut de gamme de la gamme Tiger 800, un peu plus orienté vers la route, elle est aussi le modèle le plus vendu - et cela pourrait bien rester le cas avec le nouveau modèle. Avec une roue avant de 19 pouces et un mode tout-terrain, les excursions en tout-terrain ne sont pas un problème, tandis que la conduite sur route et les voyages lointains sont adoucis par un luxe incroyable. En plus de légères retouches esthétiques, il y a maintenant un pare-brise facilement réglable en hauteur et 5 modes de conduite. Un éclairage entièrement à LED et un panneau de commande rétroéclairé. Les modèles haut de gamme XRt et XCa sont dotés en exclusivité de l'éclairage à LED, de l'unité de commande rétro-éclairée ainsi que des poignées et de la selle chauffantes.

Chez Triumph, on s'y est tenu et avec la Tiger 900 GT Pro, on a mis sur les jantes en fonte une moto qui poursuit la longue et fructueuse voie de la 800 avec de nombreuses améliorations de détails et qui est aussi bien une moto pratique pour le quotidien que pour des tours et des voyages prolongés.
