Le fait que la base soit la MT-07, une moto bon marché, n'est pas du tout gênant, car l'entrée de gamme est connue pour être extrêmement sportive et agile. Sur la XSR700, le châssis confortable s'accorde parfaitement avec la position de conduite droite et confortable. Le prix de près de 9000 euros semble assez élevé au premier abord et surtout en comparaison avec la MT-07, mais l'esthétique et l'exclusivité gagnées compensent cet argent.
