La nouvelle 890 porte le flambeau avec une poitrine gonflée et mérite à nouveau son surnom de scalpel. Poussive, elle trace des courbes tout en dégageant une certaine nervosité qui peut être interprétée comme un caractère sauvage. Les caractéristiques / options sont presque complètes - mais presque seulement. Pourquoi faut-il payer un supplément pour le Quickshifter alors qu'il était monté de série sur le modèle précédent ? C'est d'autant plus énervant que le passage des vitesses sans embrayage fonctionne en douceur et que l'on n'a pas envie d'y renoncer.

La GSX-S1000 est une moto honnête en termes de performances et de conduite. On obtient même plus que ce qui est indiqué sur le papier, mais pour cela, il faut d'abord que le quatre cylindres en ligne monte en régime.
