Honda Gold Wing 2027: New colours for the luxury tourer

For more than five decades, the Gold Wing has sat at the top of Honda's touring line-up. For 2027, the update focuses on the visual appearance. The Honda GL1800 Gold Wing Tour will be offered in three new colours: Iridium Gray Metallic, Graphite Black and Allumage Blue Metallic.

The colour range also changes for the Honda GL1800 Gold Wing 2027. Unlike the Tour version, there is only one option here: Gunmetal Black Metallic combined with accents in Mat Ballistic Black Metallic.

When it comes to the basic technical concept, Honda continues to rely on the Gold Wing's familiar hallmarks. These include the six-cylinder boxer engine, the trapezoidal fork with double-wishbone suspension and a single-sided swingarm with shaft drive. Another special feature is the motorcycle airbag. The Gold Wing is the only bike in the world to be equipped with such a system. The model also holds a special place in Honda's history: a Gold Wing was the 300-millionth bike produced by Honda.

According to Honda, the model's long history is also reflected in European sales figures. Over the past ten years, more than 15,000 Gold Wings have been sold in Europe. So for 2027, Honda isn't fundamentally changing the familiar recipe. The Gold Wing and Gold Wing Tour enter the next model year with new paint schemes – technically, the big six-cylinder tourer remains built on its established concept.
