The suspension promises consistent damping performance even in extreme conditions, catering to ambitious off-roaders and long-distance travelers who demand top-notch performance and durability.

Extreme Shock: More Than Just a Stock Replacement

The three single-cylinder models from the KTM group are seen as classic representatives of the pure enduro scene. They're sleek, lightweight, and powerful, equipped with decent stock suspension. However, those looking to push the limits, whether on long trips with luggage or aggressive off-road rides, will quickly realize there’s room for improvement.

This is where Touratech steps in with its new Extreme series shock. It's a suspension component featuring separation piston technology, designed for extreme demands.

Touratech Suspension Technology for Tough Conditions

The shock comes with a range of technical features:

  • 16-mm piston rod made of chrome-molybdenum steel
  • low-friction special seals with Teflon support ring
  • high-strength stainless steel bushings
  • large reservoir for oil cooling

The rebound damping can be adjusted at the base of the shock, while the compression stage is separately adjustable in high and low-speed ranges—a feature that frequent riders with sporty ambitions will appreciate. Notably, the position-dependent damping system (PDS) provides extra protection against bottoming out, making the shock ready for extreme scenarios, such as airborne jumps or abrupt terrain changes.

Custom Setup - With ABE Approval

The shock is individually tuned—not a one-size-fits-all, but a tailor-made setup based on rider preference. Whether for solo adventures, with a passenger, or loaded with luggage, the adjustment is done in consultation with the customer. As is typical with Touratech, the product is fully maintainable and comes with ABE approval, eliminating the need for registration.

The shock is priced at 1,399 euros, available under item number 370-5840.
