A suit for every adventure: The Touratech DUSTRIDER
Versatile adventure suit for travel, everyday use, and off-road
With the new DUSTRIDER, Touratech expands its range of motorcycle clothing with a textile suit aimed at touring riders and adventure riders. The suit is meant to combine high ventilation properties with extensive safety equipment and a variable weather protection concept.
Whether extended trips, brisk road tours, or demanding off-road passages the Touratech DUSTRIDER was developed for a broad range of applications. According to Touratech, the developers drew on more than 15 years of experience in premium rider gear.
Generous ventilation for warm travel days
One focus of the new Touratech DUSTRIDER is air circulation. Large-area 3D mesh inserts on the chest, sides, back, and thighs are designed to allow high air permeability. Additional ventilation openings in the shoulder area, as well as double zippers on the sleeve cuffs, are intended to further improve air circulation. For use on tours and off-road, Touratech relies on a material mix of abrasion-resistant base fabric, elastic inserts, and additional reinforcements. Particularly stressed areas are reinforced with ripstop material, while leather panels on the inner knees are meant to improve contact with the bike.
Extensive protector equipment as standard
When it comes to safety, Touratech equips the DUSTRIDER as standard with protectors at the shoulders, elbows, back, hips, and knees. Among others, Seeflex Level 2 protectors are used at the shoulders, elbows, and knees, along with a Seesoft Air Level 2 back protector. According to the manufacturer, both the jacket and trousers are certified to EN 17092-3:2020 in protection class AA.
Variable weather protection with an "over-under" principle
The DUSTRIDER's weather protection concept looks particularly interesting. Included in the scope of delivery is a waterproof and breathable suit made of three-layer Hydratex laminate. The rain jacket and rain trousers can be worn either over or under the actual textile suit, depending on preference. This system, referred to by Touratech as the "over-under" concept, is meant to offer maximum flexibility in changing weather conditions. Long zippers make it easier to put on the rain trousers even while wearing boots.
Everyday practicality for long journeys
For touring use, Touratech integrates a total of 15 pockets into the system. Eight of these are on the jacket, four on the trousers, and three on the waterproof outer jacket. Additionally, the DUSTRIDER features a hydration system preparation with a tube routing on the back of the jacket. The fit is designed as a regular fit and is meant to offer a compromise between freedom of movement off-road and comfort on longer road stretches. Adjustment options at the arms, cuffs, and waist allow for individual customization.

Conclusion: Touratech DUSTRIDER: a textile suit that wants to cover everything
The DUSTRIDER aims to be the all-rounder for touring, travel, and off-road, and the equipment backs up that claim. Large-area 3D mesh inserts on the chest, sides, back, and thighs plus additional ventilation openings at the shoulders provide high air permeability when it gets hot. For weather protection, Touratech relies on an over-under concept: the waterproof membrane layer made of three-layer Hydratex can be worn over or under the suit depending on preference. Safety is included as standard, the suit being certified to EN 17092 in protection class AA. We don't have our own measurements on breathability. For ambitious touring and adventure riders looking for a suit for changing conditions, this is a well thought-out concept, since ventilation and rain protection work independently of one another. Anyone who only rides dry summer tours doesn't need the full range of functions.
