Pros and Cons in comparison

Pros and Cons in comparison

BMW R 1300 RT 2026

BMW R 1300 RT 2026

The BMW R 1300 RT combines its classic touring qualities with a surprising amount of dynamic handling. Comfort, electronics and touring capabilities remain at a very high standard, whilst the suspension, engine and geometry adjustment make the bike significantly more agile. BMW has thus succeeded in creating a remarkably versatile touring bike.

highly dynamic riding performance for a touring motorbike

excellent long-distance comfort

a refined and powerful boxer engine

innovative suspension with adjustable geometry

intuitive automated gear-shifting technology

The vehicle’s heavy overall weight is noticeable when manoeuvring

the complex technology takes some getting used to

the vehicle’s wide body can make it somewhat unwieldy in everyday use

Honda CB1000GT 2026

Honda CB1000GT 2026

Honda’s attempt to develop a sporty touring model based on the Hornet has been a great success for the Japanese manufacturer. With a high level of comfort and an impressive range of standard features, the new GT also scores highly in terms of sportiness. You hardly notice the 229kg weight, either whilst riding or when stationary, giving it a very lively feel. Its appearance is also impressive, thanks to its sleek lines, skilful design and colour scheme. But what is likely to win people over most is the value for money. Priced at €17,490 in Austria and €14,429 in Germany, Honda has really slashed the price. When you also take into account the extensive standard equipment (electronic suspension, cruise control, heated grips, Keyless Go, case system, etc.), the Japanese manufacturer has really gone the extra mile. However, anyone keen to add the GT to their garage will need a little more patience: the first vehicles aren’t expected to be delivered until the second quarter at the earliest. There is one small consolation, though: anticipation is half the fun!

High level of driving comfort

Generous standard equipment

Value for money

Extensive range of accessories

No automatic gear-shifting function when upshifting and with the throttle closed

Power at low revs could be better

The suspension feels a bit stiff over sharp kerbs
