Anyone looking for more grunt than the A2 class offers, but who doesn’t want to fork out 13,000, 14,000 or 15,000 euros straight away, should take the DS800X Rally for a test drive. It’s agile, inspires confidence and features surprisingly well-developed core components. The traction control, which kicks in too early, and the jerkiness at low revs remain genuine quirks, but they don’t permanently detract from its strong performance. Whilst you have to do without Advanced Rider Assistance Systems, you get more power and features than is usual in this price range.
Kove 450 Rally 2026
The Kove 450 Rally is a real sports machine that is primarily aimed at ambitious off-road riders. It offers a tough suspension and a robust engine that emphasise its sport enduro qualities. Although it features a large tank and windscreen, it remains more suitable for sporty riding than for leisurely touring. Its attractive price-performance ratio sets it apart from more expensive models such as KTM. Yet the limited dealer network and slightly lower engine power could pose challenges.
