The R 18 B differs from the normal, naked R 18 only by a simple B, but it opens up a much wider spectrum of usability. With the wide fairing and the side panniers, even longer distances are on the agenda and are also a lot of fun thanks to the comfortable seating position. The engine, described by BMW as a "big boxer", is a blast and the chassis can be described as quite good-natured and precise. Only the brakes could be a little sharper, but they are by no means bad. The electronics and, above all, the Marshall music system are top-notch.
