Honda showed the prototype at EICMA 2025, and a year later the project is taking further shape: the planned production version of the Honda V3R 900 E-Compressor is now on display in Milan. The bike on show already sports the final design language. The muscular forms and the distinctive asymmetric layout of the prototype have been retained. Honda is thus sticking with its distinctive look rather than smoothing it out on the way to production.

Honda V3R 900 E-Compressor: This is the production version
900 cc with the performance ambitions of a 1200 engine
Electronically controlled forced induction, titanium and voice control: at EICMA 2026, Honda is showing the planned production version of its V3 project. The final design stays true to the asymmetric look of the prototype.

Honda V3R 900: Supercharger with its own control system
At the heart of it all is the 900 cc engine with an electronically controlled supercharger. According to Honda, its special feature is the ability to control the compression of the intake air independently of engine speed. This is intended to deliver immediate torque even at low revs. Honda is also clear about its performance ambitions: the engine is supposed to reach a level comparable to a 1,200 cc engine. Forced induction is therefore the key technical approach behind the project.

Honda V3R 900: Titanium for tank and exhaust
For the planned production version, Honda is using titanium for the fuel tank, the exhaust headers and the silencer. The manufacturer describes the construction as light, compact and uncompromisingly functional. The choice of material is thus just as much part of the concept as the striking design language. The final design shown at the show combines this approach with the asymmetry that already defined the prototype at EICMA 2025.

For the planned production version, Honda has announced a titanium fuel tank.
Honda V3R 900: RoadSync with AI voice control
Honda is also stepping things up when it comes to connectivity. The V3R 900 E-Compressor gets the latest evolution of Honda RoadSync. A revised interface is designed to make operation more intuitive, and the new functions include AI-assisted voice control. Honda plans to gradually roll out these connectivity features to other compatible bikes from the brand as well. For the V3 project, the announced production scope therefore includes new control functions alongside the engine and design.
