Die KTM 1090 Adventure ist ein gewaltiger Schritt weg von der Vorgängerin 1050 Adventure in Richtung größere Schwestern. Das Elektronik-Package mit verstellbaren Riding-Modes, Traktionskontrolle und ABS bleibt zwar auf dem ohnehin hohen Level, der Motor leistet mit 125 PS nun aber rund ein Drittel (!) mehr als die 1050er. Fast noch wichtiger ist, dass er nun frei bis über 10.000 Touren ausdrehen darf und somit ein besser nutzbares Drehzahlband bietet. Ein ausgewogeneres Bike wird man in der Klasse der noch halbwegs günstigen großen Reiseenduros kaum finden.
