Sedežni položaj je športen, vendar nikakor ne neudoben, zavore so močne, motor modela S 1000 R pa je najboljši - morda celo nekoliko preveč homogen. Tudi na področju vožnje se ni mogoče pritoževati. Na podlagi čistih podatkov o zmogljivosti in vgrajenih elektronskih funkcij ima BMW verjetno vse potrebno za najhitrejši čas kroga. In to na kakršni koli podlagi, saj lahko s polaktivnim vzmetenjem na slabih cestah, posejanih z luknjami, požirate kilometer za kilometrom. Na žalost se ta občutek superiornosti ni nikoli zares prenesel na voznika. Verjetno je to slaba stran prevelike uravnoteženosti na vseh področjih - vsaj v mojih italijanofilskih očeh. BMW-ju je manjkalo tisto nekaj, karizma, ki jo je težko razložiti, a vzbuja pristna čustva.
