Kolo v tem zmogljivostnem razredu verjetno ne bi moglo biti bolj dostopno. XR se v ovinkih igrivo vihti in v sedlu takoj vzbudi zaupanje. Tudi dolgotrajna potovanja so lahka in s sedla se vedno odpeljete sproščeni. Vendar pa športni videz BMW-ja vzbudi tudi željo po nekaj vznemirjenja. Vendar motor te želje ne more povsem izpolniti. Motor, menjalnik in prestavna ročica so na splošno nekoliko preveč krotki in bi jim lahko dodali nekaj več športnosti.

The Adventure is the ultimate touring machine. The high seat height limits the target group, as does the high price. But if you overcome these two hurdles, you get a magnificent mile-eater. The engine shakes all kinds of driving fun out of its sleeves. The low fuel consumption in combination with the gigantic 30-litre tank ensures an incredibly long range.
