Na novem BMW S 1000 RR je vidno, da je bil znova natančno uglašen. Ergonomija, nastavitve elektronike, upravljanje motorja, nastavitve vzmetenja (DDC) - BMW-jevi inženirji so verjetno mislili predvsem na običajne kupce in ne na prikrite dirkače. S 1000 RR namreč navdušuje z visoko stopnjo univerzalnosti in za to morda žrtvuje zadnjo desetinko brezkompromisnosti - in to je bila dobra odločitev. Zaradi tega je superbike z 210 konjskimi močmi vozen in obvladljiv za širok krog kupcev, tako na dirkališču kot na vikend vožnjah po podeželskih cestah. Le vibracij motorja ne bi smelo biti še vedno prisotnih.
