Zame je Africa Twin potovalni enduro, kot mora biti potovalni enduro. To je veljalo že za predhodni model in se s povečanjem prostornine in moči ni spremenilo. Slednja je namreč ostala obvladljiva pri 102 KM, Hondi pa se je v primerjavi z modelom CRF1000L celo uspelo znebiti nekaj kilogramov.
