S prenovo in razširitvijo modelov 1050 ima Suzuki zdaj pravi veliki V-Strom za vsakogar. Tisti, ki že od vsega začetka vedo, da se bodo zadrževali skoraj izključno na cesti, bodo v standardnem modelu našli zanesljivega sopotnika ali celo prijatelja za vse dni; tisti, ki se želijo manj omejevati pri izbiri poti in se želijo redno voziti tudi po nezavarovanem terenu, bodo zdaj našli dobro izbiro v modelu DE. Glavni argument pa ostaja ta motor, ki s svojimi 107 KM in predvsem bogatim navorom ne pušča skoraj ničesar zaželenega.

The supposedly less well-equipped Versys 1000 S merely dispenses with the electronically adjustable chassis of the SE - and thus offers almost the same performance as the top model. This means that the S also has all the comfort features on board that make a long journey not only bearable, but really enjoyable. You don't necessarily feel the few kilos less than the SE, but the S is also an ideal companion on long tours when comfort and uncomplicated handling are paramount.
