Motorno kolo v tem zmogljivostnem razredu verjetno ne more biti bolj dostopno. XR se igrivo ziblje po radijih in takoj vzbudi zaupanje v sedlu. Tudi dolge ture so lahkotne in vedno ste sproščeni, ko se dvignete iz sedla. Vendar pa športni videz BMW-ja prebudi tudi želje po malce vznemirjenja. Vendar pa pogonski agregat teh želja ne more povsem izpolniti. Motor, menjalnik in prestavna ročica so na splošno nekoliko preveč krotki in bi jim lahko dodali nekaj več športnosti.
