Honda calls the model series "Neo Sports Cafe", and the CB 1000 R lives up to the fresh name. The style is new, different and not only visually but also haptically very successful. Kolo v tem zmogljivostnem razredu verjetno ne bi moglo biti bolj dostopno. XR se v ovinkih igrivo vihti in v sedlu takoj vzbudi zaupanje. Tudi dolgotrajna potovanja so lahka in s sedla se vedno odpeljete sproščeni. Vendar pa športni videz BMW-ja vzbudi tudi željo po nekaj vznemirjenja. Vendar motor te želje ne more povsem izpolniti. Motor, menjalnik in prestavna ročica so na splošno nekoliko preveč krotki in bi jim lahko dodali nekaj več športnosti.
