In terms of strengths, the Africa Twin Adventure Sports offers a very good chassis, both mechanically and electronically, and the option of DCT makes it a superior touring motorcycle. It also has practical and high-quality electronic riding aids, good wind protection, and an overall impression of high quality. The engine has excellent response and a linear torque curve, and the handling is accessible and enjoyable. It is a wonderfully versatile motorcycle.

On the other hand, the NT1100 DCT boasts a wide range of standard equipment, perfect wind and weather protection, an excellent engine, and is suitable for long distances. It offers comfort and features integration with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The suspension setup is consistent.

In terms of weaknesses, the Africa Twin Adventure Sports has excessive wind protection in hot conditions, making it difficult to feel the wind even with the windshield in the lowest position. The operation through the numerous switches may seem complex even after two days of testing, and the seat may feel too soft after a long day of riding.

The NT1100 DCT lacks an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), has dull color options, and does not offer an e-chassis option.
