A Yamaha MT-10 SP inspira com um elevado grau de perfeição combinado com um camião de emoção. Raramente os fabricantes japoneses conseguem penetrar tão profundamente no domínio dos europeus. A moto tem uma condução muito desagradável quando necessário, mas também pode ser utilizada de forma bastante civilizada no trânsito da cidade. Para além disso, a suspensão Öhlins ajustável eletronicamente proporciona muito conforto de condução. Em suma, uma excelente moto polivalente que pode fazer muito mais do que apenas parecer má.

A Yamaha MT-09 SP é o aperfeiçoamento de uma já muito boa naked de gama média. Com melhores componentes de suspensão da Öhlins e Kayaba, uma pintura mais agradável e um preço justificadamente mais elevado, a versão SP é claramente a escolha mais desportiva dentro da gama Yamaha MT-09. A potência bruta do motor não permite que a MT-09 SP seja conduzida confortavelmente, mas isso não é necessário na "Special" - a diversão está claramente em primeiro plano! A Yamaha MT-09 EVO com suspensão Wilbers está agora disponível como uma alternativa interessante, porque não tem "pintura de guerra" e é muito discreta. Mas infelizmente só na Suíça...
